Help us inspire and empower women recovering from trauma to transform their lives. One Step At A Time.
Why Get Involved
More women than ever are experiencing disadvantage — from living in poverty, experiencing domestic or family violence, un(der)-employment and experiencing a mental health issue (Liptember Report 2022). Women in the Frankston / Mornington Peninsula / Kingston region are doing it particularly tough (Victorian Women’s Health Atlas).
While accessible fitness, health and wellbeing activities are critical in supporting recovery, the Women’s Spirit Project (WSP) is the only organisation in the state offering programs of this nature.
The WSP is experiencing exponential growth in demand. Due to the ever increasing number of applicants coupled with our limited capacity, we are currently not able to offer placements to all applicants. Our waitlist continues to grow.

What Those In The Project have To Say
“In moments of achievement and struggle, adventures reveal what we are made of, what we are capable of, supporting us to grow in confidence and resilience; strengthening the mind, body and soul enough for us to back ourselves long after the adventure finishes.”
JODIE BELYEA
Founder
“The Spirit of Transformation Program has been amazing. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”
PARTICIPANT
“The Women’s Spirit Project has restored me. The way the program is so comprehensively compiled, with not a detail skimmed over is the most amazing experience any person could hope to be part of. The warmth, strength and fragility of every participant seemed to be celebrated.”
